IAT โ the IISER pathway
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is the entrance to the 7 IISERs โ a unique Indian initiative where teaching and education are integrated with state-of-the-art research. Each IISER awards its own Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees.
Students can pursue research in Biological, Physical, Chemical, Mathematical, Data, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and can progress into a BS-MS dual degree and then a PhD.
- Open to PUC / 12th students with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
- IISc Bangalore also admits via IIT-JEE, NEET or the IISER aptitude test.

IAT โ pattern
60 questions, 240 marks, 180 minutes. Ranking is on the total 240; admission is based on the scores in the subjects of the chosen program.
